t-boned a curb tonight at approx 10kph - went over the h'bars and popped the tyre (new conti 4000) - zero damage to the wheel (kyserium sl)
any advice on how to check my frame and forks for damage most appreciated - both are carbon
Neither have any visible damage
cheers
I wouldnt worry about it myself. Ian clobbered a car that turned across his path at 35 kph. THe bars were smeared flat. The bike shop "fitzroy cycles" said the forks were fine and didnt need xrays. We said effectively "we trust you but bear in mind that a) someone else is paying and b) if they break we will sue you." He stuck with the statement. Hard to argue with that. But I will get a carbon frame next time 🙂

In all seriousness, get thee to a local bike shop (who knows about dealing with carbon frames) & get the frame/fork checked out. Don't know what area you're in, but possibly not the LBS that FD had deal with (re: bianchi frame) *cough*

At that speed it's pretty unlikely that you'd have done any damage. Check your forks and headstem for any signs of delamination though, to be sure. Also check your headset tension and stem etc.
