ooh hurrah a HH bashing thread, can I join in? Just last week I made
my first and last purchase from them. I struggled to even persuade
them to sell me something:
Me: I'd like to buy some brake cables with barrel nipples please
HH: You mean the big fat round ones?
Me: Yes, like I said, barrel nipples
HH: For a mountain bike you mean?
Me: A hybrid, but yes flat handle bars, so I need barrel nipples,
that's what they're called isn't it? {thinks: like I said 3 times now
ffs}
Bloke in HH quite clearly knows 'Fat Gurls in normal clothes' can't
possibly know that they are talking about when it comes to bike parts
and only 'Fit blerks in lycra' can be trusted to know their nipples.
It's not like I was making it perfectly clear what I wanted using the
correct technical terms, was it? I thought mebe I was over reacting,
then I moaned about what happened to another woman cyclist and she had
had a very similar experience.
So HH won't be getting my few quid here and there for bits and pieces
(being all I can afford to spend right now) nor will they be getting
my large amounts of quid when finances pick up and I'm in the market
for a new bike. I shall be mostly shopping at Ken Fosters and Bicycle
Doctor.
