Well, lately they have become the "Iron Chef" network, so I'm betting
on something similar. I haven't watched Food Network in over a year. I
read the tv Guide and find soething more interesting to watch. Not
hard to do.

About the only thing I see that is interesting to me on an on-going basis is
the History Channels and alas, I've seen them all.

Dish network changed their programming guide and it's frustrating to search
thru since they've decided to go on the cheap. Talk about a bunch of
dumb-heads changing their pretty-decent guide to the tv guide standard.

All this is a shame because I subscribe to Dish 250 and really don't get
much of anything. Certainly no movies that I've not seen.

They were pretty perceptive. Indeed, there's plenty of World War II
covered!

I know that they cover a lot of history, but there are certainly parts of
history I wish they'd cover.
Guess that's what books are for, to take up the slack.

Another Rachel Ray special? I seldom watch it anymore.

Emeril was still a cooking show. He still demonstrated recipes and
techniques even though he could not usually do them himself. I mean he
screwed up slicing onions. And what FoodTV seems to be ditching is any show
involving cooking. It is all geared towards eating and showcasing eateries
that no doubt pay a huge chunk of money to appear on the shows. So I bet
they will probably give Rachel the Harpy another show but she'll no doubt be
stuffing her face and giggling like a trollop instead of actually cooking
something. Not that it matters to me, being overweight myself, but she is
really packing on the poundage and I'll bet money she'll be cancelled if she
keeps that up. Very vicious those shows. All image.

He's newly married (I think it is new? I saw it in some magazine a while
ago) so perhaps that explains the weight gain?
He was always so sexy before and he's less so now. Less "edgy" or
something too... I still like him though!

I did not watch him much after awhile. I did eat at Nola once. It was
fantastic. There is not doubt about his skills as a chef In my mind. I
just found him dull and the BAM [censored] was outrageous after awhile. I had
tickets to see his show in NY once. I could not make the trip. That was
my fault though. Something more personal came up. Had I been able to make
the trip I'd have seen him and may have had a more positive outlook.

Damn! and I wasn't recording his programs because I thought he'd be on

He always made me dizzy moving back and forth looking for items to cook
with. That, and I just couldn't stand his showing-off.
Charming to some, I'm sure. But I didn't think 'kicking it up a notch'

and he's gained a whopping 10 pounds. BFD - not the end of a career. And I
bet he is still boinking the chicks he featured on Food 911. Rumor had it

And was that just since marriage? He'd gained a bit more before that
then. Obviously it isn't any BFD, but just commented on.
Alton Brown also got porky during the motorcycle road show. He had man
[censored] in fact! But he's since lost the extra weight and is looking very
nice indeed on the Next Iron Chef show.
