Fair enough, by my politician answer to that is that I was speaking
relatively! For a DSLR, which should by definition be *small*, it's
*big*. In other words, it's not a big camera, but it's big for a small
camera! :-)

Very nice! That was several months ago now, but I'm sure I won't get that
much. I'm always really unlucky when selling things. Also, it'll be going
on eBay rather than to a friend, but we'll see.

Here you go Paul - according to my digital food scales, the weight of the
camera, including SanDisk 512mb Compact Flash card, battery, 18-55 Lens
(including Canon lens cap), and Canon strap; all come to 1027g.

....oh yes, the memory card had 27 images on it, if that makes any difference
to the weight!! ;-)

That's quite a bit heavier than yours, but I'll be honest, it doesn't feel
heavy, and feels quite nice to hold, etc.

Not if they're snaps, but if they're serious photographs they'll make
the camera feel psychologically heavier because of their importance. A
bit like wind chill... ;-)

No problemo. But I had to explain to the girlfriend why I was carrying a
set of scales upstairs - you've done my house-cred some serious harm Paul
because she now thinks I'm a sad geek or something! :-)
