Campag 10/11 Speed Ergo Downgrade?

I've loads of 10 speed wheels and run SRM's on my bikes. I don't want to have to keep chopping and changing cassettes, and I've heard you can't run an 11 speed chain on a 9/10 Chainset as there's increased chances of slippage/jamming/dechaining.

I know Ergo's can be repaired/upgraded from 9 to 10 but what about down from 11 to 10? I need a new set of ergo levers and was thinking of trying this option. Any takers? Thanks in advance...

2009 ERGo innards are completely different than 2008 so it is not possible.

NO problem running an 11s chain on a 10s crank. We do that on our demo Moots w/o problem, no chain jamming between rings. No slippage, no dechaining, no problem.

Get Centaur Carbon 10s ERGO, 2009 ERGO. Completely compatible with all your other 10s stuff.

'Need new ERGO levers'? For a new bike? Cuz 'old' ERGO levers can be overhauled to be like new.

Just buy the 2009 Centaur brifters. They're 10 speed brifters.

Although I said I "need" new Ergos, it's more like I "want" new Ergos, to go on my new Colnago. Not sure if I like the aesthetics of the 11 speed levers, but sometimes you just have to be brave...

The biggest advantage of Campagnolo for 2009 is two fold, IMHO. Lever ERGOnomics(yep, they look like rayguns out of a 1950s sci-fi movie) and more robust innards. If ya can, ride a pair and I think you will find they are the most comfy ever.
