Campag cassette issues

Wow, I have a similar problem. I have a set of Proton's with a 12-25 Chorus and a set of Eurus with an 11-23. Is the problem with the cassette or the wheels (I've never swapped the cassettes but now I'm tempted to try it out)? The Proton's are on my winter-rain bike and I really don't switch wheels. I had the Proton's on my primary ride and when I switched to the Eurus' with the 11-23 I had to re adust the rear der.

Maybe a differnce in hub/spoke pattern. Scirrocos are old G3 type as are the eurus I think. Cassettes are both identical in width as I measured them. Maybe I'll just have to live with it as I cant think of a solution -I dont have luxury of 2 bikes.

campag use to supply a washer with their cassettes that was around that thickness that slid over the cassette body before you put on the cogs. my lbs had some made up for just the problem you have. i think i may have some around somewhere. let me know where you are and maybe i could send you some for the price of postage

Thanks for the offer WER but the spacer on the freewheel would then make the chainline on both wheels inferior. Shaving a little of the protons freewheel so as the cassette sits a little further away from the dropout is what I'd like to acheive. Again thanks for the offer

put the spacer on the scirocco. move its cassette to match the protons, unless the protons casstte is too close to the frame
