I just got a brand new Campy Record Hiddenset and there were no headset
bearings in the box. I found some photos of this headset at several
online bike shops, and they show all the same parts that I have, and
with no bearings shown in their photos. Do you have to buy the bearings
for the Campy Record Hiddenset separately?

bearings.
They are packaged in this fold out plastic package that reminds me of a
stack of condoms but ya should have gotten bearings with it. -
That`s what I thought, since I`ve never seen a headset that didn`t come
with bearings....that makes 2 headsets in a row I have purchased that
had parts missing. I also need to find a source for a missing crown
race for a 1" threaded FSA Duron-X headset...... -

had in the past. A+ service. I think the guys name is Brian.-Nate

you know it's a bearing cartridge, right? no visible balls or races. -

still needed. -
Cartridge bearings for a Campy Hiddenset?......All the info I`ve been
able to find says the bearings are 1/8" caged balls, and this photo
shows the same headset I have and it clearly shows that the bearings
are the loose ball type with a retaining ring........Don

5/32 balls, pretty sure, in a cage.
