Car rack

Merry New Year to you all and I hope you had a fine Christmas.

Do any of you fine people have any experience of the Mont Blanc Eiger
roof top cycle carrier? SWMBO and I have two Halfords Advanced carriers
for our bikes but we could do with a third carrier for Small's new
Islabike Beinn 20. The latter bike appears to be too small to
comfortably fit on a standard cycle rack.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Luke

Not sure what either of those are like.

However, DD1 has a Puky 16 inch wheel bike (soon to be upgraded to a
Beinn 20)

I have managed to carry this on a standard (is there such a thing?) roof
top carrier - it is an old Halfords copy of a Thule one - steel, wheel
support type with a down tube clamp

I can just about manage to clmap the downtube - though possibly a design
with a bigger clamp might not fit the space - the clamp on mine is
fairly small, with a wheel to tighten it up. I do need to move one of
the wheel support sliders along to support the wheel though as it's not
a continuos channel.

AIR the Paddy Hopkirk type upside-down carriers adjust to fit just about
anything as long as there's room to clamp the bars.

Smashing. Mont Blanc appears to be the new name for Paddy Hopkirk so
this should be the right carrier.

Thanks,
Luke
