Just to follow up in case anyone is interested, I visited my local bike shop yesterday and they
happened to have both the ITM and Kestrel carbon bars. Ironically, except for the decals, they were
identical. The salesman confirmed that they both came from the same factory in China despite the
fact that the ITM bars were labeled "made in Italy."

This question was asked back in 2001. Since then several other bars and stem have appeared, and
based on Interbike 2003, more still. Nevertheless, one mfr you may want to look at is Calfee Design
as they have a bar/stem combo, that although not cheap, may be what you want:

Well, they are actually made in Tiawan...Kestrel are the ones we like and with Ritchey stems. We
have seen some problems with Deda, no experience with ITM...which salesperson at propelotion did
ya talk to?

I've been using the Easton Carbon bars for the last couple of years...they're great. I mostly like
the bend of the bars when you're on the tops/hoods. Very comfy.

Is Martec making all those things? I gather they're doing the Talon and Evoke frames for Kestrel;
they even market the Talon under their own brand outside the US.
