Well, small carnage. The result of dropping the bike climbing over an obstacle. I think that the
back of my knee caught the drink bottle cage studs on the underside of the down tube just after my
left foot slipped off the pedal.

This was 15km in on a 45km ride. Luckily it stopped bleeding after a couple of minutes and didn't
hurt at all. The guy fiving the thumbs up was a Dentist friend of mine riding with me. We stopped at
his surgery on the way home. Lay me out on the carpet, pulled the light from the chair overhead and
he sewed me up while my g/f assisted. Easier than travelling the 50km to the nearest A&E.
"Are you sure you don't want a local in that?" "Nah, I'll be right. Go for it." .... "Ooooh. You've
gone quite deep with that needle, haven't you?" "Ummm, yeah. Needed to". "How many more to go?" "Two
at least, maybe three or four" "....How about that local then?"
