Is it blank, or does it not register wheel turns? I found my cradle contacts a bit iffy on
occasion. I remove and re-seat the cateye into its cradle after which it's fine. (both the road
and mountain bikes).

Mine has lasted just over 3 years so far (over 24000 miles).

You don't need to reset to change tyre size. You get into tyre size setup by going to odometer
display then pressing the little button on the back with a ballpoint pen or similar.

the 2 runs lika train. and duh several posts are searchable in bike.tech for using the 2. and for
upgrading cycle computers in general. wires longer, waterproof jacks ect. ect. One big deal is the
wire- computer unit connection and this area is as are the same juncture in Walkman units with
receiver seperate from headphones somewhat fragile. I GOOPed the juncture with a large deep and wide
glop after CHO wiping for to prepare the juncture's surface thus eliminating probable future
insulation breakage thru stress. The wire leading into the computer unit shud be seperated
physically from the segment going down to the magnet/pickup by taping, 'magic tape' thar wire to the
whatever you have near the bar-my bikes wires are external so I tape the upward wire to one of uh
two brake wires thus forming a stress relieving loop for the juncture. mine gets covered with
armorall and the cradle greased with wax plus teflon. Once in a while, the contacts need wiping opr
the unit a jiggle to settle the contacts down into the cradle. then, oh sorry, Then, the display
gets going agin. The setup configuration??? yeah. I dunno either. There maybe a translation and thus
umvelt or Gestalt hangup between graphic tiwainese reality and what I read and or a switch problem
'cuase I am occasionally forced to expletive deleted fiddle with the pencil or metal pick switch
arrangement for clearing the unit to reset. I assume this is my language/reading problem not the 2's
design or switch. Maybe the switch isn't held down for the correct length of time as spec'd in the
directions. The 2 is enjoyable when used in conjunction with a GPS and the topozone website and
micro's streets and trips. Might think your lost but you're not!! Usually anyway.

Some good preventative medicine for the wires, even more crucial when using the lighter (faster?)
wiring on the otherwise identical Mity3.

I might add an ink eraser is good for cleaning contacts and the battery. It doesn't take much in the
way of sweat or finger oils to disrupt the current flow and leave you display free.

BTW I don't have any scientific data to back this up at this point, but since I lubed my universal
translator with Jack's elixir Old No. 7. I seem to have improved understanding of your posts. More
testing is necessary.

I tried again today, finally got it to work and got the tire set up screen. but man this is like

The asians didn't style the 2. The inset buttons have a specific diameter and underlying switch
platform. It's possible to select and shape a metal stylus such as a spoke to match the switch
button's surface area(more than a pencil point cuasing swtich rock) with legnth chosen for comfort
and postive engagement. also, i suggested GOOPing the input wire connective area at the computer
unit preventing a commonplace fraying at that point. Cleaning or preparing the surface to eliminate
grease with a CHO solvent but please use a CHO solvent such as the supermarket isopropyl diluted to
70% or less CHO by H20 and not straight CHO.

and duh!! while at lunch, i remembered using a chopstick for the stylus, standard CS? possible CS
come in graded sizes?
