  1. I just received a cavatelli maker

and can't seem to get it to work. It just
rolls the dough back and forth instead of
through the wooden wheels. Does anyone
have one of these, and if so, do you have
any advice? Or am I doing something
wrong (hard to imagine...it's a pretty
    simple device).

    Thanks for your help!

I don't have one but do have a pasta maker... is it possible you've
over floured your dough or the wheels? The dough needs something to
grab hold of it sounds to me. Kev

Sorry I can't help you . It's the first time I see such a tool!
I make cavatelli with an iron when I want to do.
The same iron you use to make cardigans!

Thanks for the feedback. I took the thing apart
and realized that the handle was on backwards!
I got it through the local Freecycling program,
and was told it had never been used. It's really
odd that the handle was on backwards. Works fine
    now...
