  1. Hey everyone, I'm interested in hearing from any of the larger riders out there that are using carbon fiber handlebars. I weigh about 230, and was wondering if I could safely use a cf bar. Any experiences/insight appreciated. Thanks.

PS--I emailed FSA to see what they have to say about it, as I'm specifically interested in the K-wing and Plasma bars. I'll post any info they pass along.

  2. I had a set of Easton EC-90's and used them for Three years. I am about 200 lbs and had no problem with carbon bars. I now use Cinelli Integralter's-bar/stem combo. Love my bars!

You should have no problems with carbon bars.

  3. I weigh in at around 190. No problems. Had been using Cinelli Integralter bars, found Cinelli RAM bars on ebay last winter at a fairly cheap price.

Very nice. Can't say they're much lighter, but they definitely dampen out high frequency road vibration, and they're molded to fit your hands. Just plain beautiful, too. Don't know if they're worth the $500-600 new price, but if you can find a used set for $200, they're definitely worth that.

  4. Response from FSA:

"We do not have any rider weight limits on any of our products...

We believe carbon fiber as a material is as strong as, if not stronger, than aluminum..."

  5. Well, just ordered the K-wing bar. Hopefully it will work out well!!

  6. Awsome Bar! And they look Damn Sexy! Have fun with your new purchase.

  7. Thanks! Anyone by any chance have experience with bars that have internal cable routing? Any advice? I'd like to not have to replace my cables (the ones on there are literally two weeks old). Thanks again everyone!!
