A very tricky and time consuming operation but worth every second
spent. My chain looks and performs like new. Thanks for the great
advice. Just my MTB and road bike to go! I should be done by next
month. I'll keep you updated.

Great product. Will a set be sufficient for a long recumbent chain
(about three standard chains) or will I have to order several of them?

I get my bikes serviced at the LBS every 500 miles, and they always
replace the chain, tyres and brake blocks. My FasterCard[1] takes care
of the costs.

Brake/gear cables, derailleurs and the like only get replaced every 2000
miles. [2]

However my Real Man Saddle [3] shows no sign of wear.

Have you considered an additional "Safety Deluxe" kit that includes a
cycle bell? That would be to allow those who have serviced their chain
properly the chance to alert other road users to their presence - since
no-one longer can hear them approaching;
