I don't think the non-metallic toothed or linked belts are there yet. They still seem to require much too much tension to compete with the chain for efficiency at cycling levels of torque.
belt tension is a first question and i have yet to fool with an auto toothed gear belt as in the fwd alt/pump/ac mess unit
but the idea is that the cycle's drivetrain with belt comes from the factory as a tensioned unit that the protective shell is integral to the tension and installation is placement of the CR to cluster shell with f/r deray's inside also as mono frame
