A little anecdote to remind anyone who might be lazy about such things
....
I re-attach my front wheel every ride, so it's pretty safe.
The rear, though ... I guess it doesn't usually occur to me to check the
rear ...
I'd been noticing that my bike seemed really loud on bumpy descents ...
and also when tightly secured to my roof rack. While waiting for my
ride companion at our meeting spot, I took a moment to examine my bike,
perched up there on top of my car ... and noticed that my rear QR was
loose. Like, about to come off loose.
Easy enough to fix, but scary as hell. I don't particularly relish the
thought of losing a wheel on a ride.
