If I have a fresh uncooked breast of chicken and the use-by
date is tomorrow, is it safe for me to fry the chicken
tonight or tomorrow, let it cool, and put it in an air-tight
container and refrigerate it? If so, how long does the
cooked chicken stay fresh in the fridge?

so it stays good and cold. 3 days easy, I have eaten
cooked chicken as long as 5 days later; however, if I
have an inkling it will be that long, I freeze it and
thaw when needed. -

No. You will surely die.
Would it be a slow or quick death?

It depends on how much of the deadly stuff you ingest. Those
use-by dates are like light switches - the food is wonderful
and fresh up until the date, and then at midnight, it
transforms into deadly poison. And BTW, you might want to get your sarcaso-meter
recalibrated.--

Those use-by dates are like light switches - the food is
wonderful and fresh up until the date, and then at
midnight, it transforms into deadly poison. So let's say I have 150g of chicken at five minutes past
midnight? How quick would I die? Or would I be better
waiting for a few hours and then eating it to make sure
it's quick?Quoted message said:

it's quick?Well. it depends on a bunch of factors, but mostly on the
g/kg of chicken/body weight. If you are a bug guy, you might
just get an upset tummy. But waiting a few hours does nothing. Remeber - the use-by
date is an all-or-nothing kind of a thing. 5 minutes or 5
hours or 5 days are all the same.Quoted message said:

Would I be better losing a lot of weight before I eat
it then?Only if you want to die faster. Your best bet is to use it
at least a minute or two prior to the expiration of the
use-by date.--
