  1. I've got the first few batches done:
almond butter and rolled butter cookies with red sugar sprinkles for my
    neighbor and my husband's coworkers.
vegan gingerbread men and vegan rolled "butter" cookies for my SIL and
    her family.

(I ate, um, a few myself. you know, to make sure they were good :>😉

Of course you have to sample them. You wouldn't want to be offering them to
your friends and find out later that they weren't any good :-)

I made my light fruitcake last week. I made a batch of brownies this
afternoon. Tomorrow I am going to make a few dozen mincemeat [censored].

The gingerbread turned out particularly well. (I'm eating some of the
circles I made with the scraps with some milk right now-mmmm! I had to
use my mortar and pestle to grind up the cloves though- I'm glad I only
needed a 1/4 tsp! I was disappointed that my half of my colored icings
had dried up, and that I was missing the coupler for the attachments for
the larger tube 🙁 I finally dug up a (leaf?) attachment that had a
screw-top built in, but they don't look as nice as I would have liked.
I'm making another batch of gingerbread (just plain circles this time,
for the adults) and a double batch of butter cookies with sprinkles
tomorrow. If I am feeling really industrious I might make other colors
of sprinkles. I'm thinking of using different colored sprinkles to
denote different flavors (almond, orange, vanilla). I have some vanilla
powder that I am thinking of sprinkling some of them with, but I'm not
sure if it would be an overkill of vanilla or not.

Quality control is a big part of that job and practice makes perfect!

  5. I spent all day yesterday and all day today baking and
    chocol;ate-coating, and i think i'm FINALLY done!

There are about a dozen gift plates being made, and the rest is for us.

Cookies: Snowballs/Mexican Wedding Cakes/Russian Teacakes, whichever
you prefer to call them; bizcochitos; thumbprint cookies; date-nut yule
logs; macaroons; chocolate macaroons; spritz cookies; cream cheese
    snowmen

Chocolaet covered: white, semisweet, and dark chocoalte covered oreo
double stuff cookies and sourdough bavarian pretzels, rolled in red,
green, and white nonpariels. the white coated are rolled in red and
green sugar instead. smores bars: milk chocolate covered graham
    crackers topped with mini-marshmallows.

Candy: white peppermint bark, milk peppermint bark, dark chocolate
cherry pinon bark; peanut butter-chocolate layer fudge

All I'm missing is something gingerbread, but I'm exhausted. Think I'll
    call it a holiday.

Ooh, yum! I made russian tea cakes last year. All of that sounds fantastic!

    I'm almost done.

almond butter (for my neighbor and for Rob to bring in when he goes to
    work on Saturday.

"butter" rolled cookies shaped like hearts and sprinkled with red sugar
(made with margarine because I ran out of butter) for my neighbor and
for us to eat. She has a cat who she kept on a leash outside sometimes
who is really friendly. Ellie loves him, and she asked me go downstairs
to find the animal cookie cutters so we could make cats, too).

vegan vanilla rolled cookies, shaped like hearts and sprinkled with red
sugar, and vegan gingerbread rounds for my sister-in law and her family.

gingerbread men for Ellie and for our neices and nephews.

I'm making a plate for dessert on christmas and making tins for my other
sister-in-law and for my husband's parents (and stashing some in the
    freezer for Ellie :> )with:

gingerbread rounds, gingerbread hearts with crystallized ginger in them,
chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, vanilla butter rolled
cookies shaped like hearts and sprinkled with powdered sugar and vanilla
sugar, orange butter rolled cookies shaped like flowers and sprinkled
with red sugar, almond butter rolled cookies, shaped like stars and
    sprinkled with green sugar.

Ellie and I made "not-burned blueberry binkies" this afternoon. We went
to see Santa at the mall today, but because of this stupid system they
have in place now, we will have to go back *again*. Instead of waiting
in line, you go to the desk and get a "day pass" and wait from that
point, to when your number comes up. We went last week at 6 pm (closes
at 9), and thye were full. That's when we found out about the pass.
Today we went back at 1 and they were already full. El made sure to
inform us loudly of the fact that she would only settle for Santa, in
that mall, and not at some other mall, so we're just going to go back
when they open on Thursday. oy.

As for cooking, I'm temporarily calling it a holiday tomorrow- I'm
making two "regular" banana breads and one vegan banana bread.
    I'm tired.

and then I look in my notebook and I see for next week:

    "10# potato salad
    doughnuts p.809
    ham and bean soup
    latkes
butter roll cookies-check to see if flavorings and colors are kosher p.827
chicken soup with kreplach-get recipe from bubbie"

They all sound so yummy, but one that really catches my eye is "Cream cheese
Snowmen". Could you post the recipe please?
