Do these exist, especially SPD's? I have
an old bike I want to install them into.

AFAIK, virtually all of them use 9/16x20tpi; that's standard English
pedal threading.

Perhaps you meant 1/2x20tpi (American) or 14x1.25 (Metric)?

YES! They do exist. I bought a pair several years ago for my Tunturi
egometer.

1/2" thread. double sided spd with platform. They were from the BMX
end of the biz. Don't remember the brand.

good luck finding them now.
