Phone rings this morning. Lots of looking at each other before I fold and pick it up.
"Mr Raven, its Rob at the bike shop to let you know your new Marin's come in" "Pardon" "Your new bike..." "But I haven't bought one Rob?" "Oh I'm terribly sorry I've rung the wrong person"
Friendly chat with Rob and put the phone down with a huge sigh of relief to suspicious looks. If Sue had lost the battle of wills and answered the phone I would now be in the deep brown stuff trying to explain without success that "No, really, I haven't bought another bike."

But Tony, one can never have too many bikes or spend too much money on bikes. Do you want me to take your good lady to one side and explain this to her?
Cheers, helen s ;-)

You didn't think fast enough! Your first answer should have been "Yes, of course! I'll come down and pick it up right away"

Please. For some reason she thinks ten and a unicycle is more than enough :-(

Good grief, Tony! What a deprived life you lead! That's grounds for divorce! Only ten and a unicycle, why man, there's loads more you *need*!! She's lucky to have you! Tell her I said so (not that I like stirring the [censored] in any way, shape or form, you understand ).
