Quoted message said:know I am lucky) and I have a problem. When I rotate the derailleur
as far counterclockwise (looking down the seat tube toward the BB) as
it will go, the cage is still not parallel to the chainring - i.e.,
the rear of the cage is pointed into the rear wheel by probably 5
degrees or so. Not much, but I am pretty sure it won't work given
past experience tuning front derailleurs. Anyone else had such an
issue with Colnago + campy?
Oh dear. Frame is terminal, and warranty won't cover. Let me send you a
delivery address so you can get rid of it . . .
But seriously folks. Welcome to the club. My Colnago front DR hanger put
the cage too far *anticlockwise* for Campag. As Peter says, just bend it
to taste. Not a big issue, quite OK to push them around.
Other alternatives include bending the DR cage itself (though try to
avoid stressing the DR pivot points), which will give similar effects,
only different.
Just in case: Similar artistry can be done for *rear* DR hanger if
required, by sticking suitable allen key in DR pivot bolt and giving it
a bit of a tug in the right direction.
