During the commentary of the first stage TT did anyone else hear Paul Sherwen describe Jan Ullrich as being "like a strawberry in front of a donkey" when he was about to be caught by Armstrong?
he tells us how a rider is "in purgatory"
The one about "digging deep into his suitcase of courage".

When talking about how the CSC team were a close unit because they'd trained with Danish Special Forces, Liggett said:

He tripped over a few words today - "sinner" instead of winner, "grope" when he meant group.
Is he trying to tell us something?
Bizarrely, he pronounced "jersey" as if he was from the US state of Noo Joisey.
Also, when Boonen won the first stage, Paul said: "He's had toothache, but today he showed plenty of bite."
Sherwin describing Kloden as 'riding like a sack of potatoes during the Dauphin Libere' and then in the same sentence praising the fact that he was 'pealing/peeling off the front of the group' on today's stage.
Ho, ho.

laughed today at liggets comment that rasmussen's win was in the classic style of coppi, merckx and armstrong.

What's been cracking me up on the commentary this year is everytime Liggett mentions Leaky Gas..
Will Sherwen ever mention Ullrich without saying "pushing a monster gear"?

A few years ago when Tom Steels gave up on a stage...
