  1. Hello,

We take whole foods raw or cooked. All our foods are a combination of
many bio-chemicals. I want to know that:

1.Are whole food is somewhat a balanced food for us, the constituents
of which balances each other so not to produce any adverse effect in us
which may be possible by taking its individual constituent in same
quantity as present in that food? In short, what is the possibilty of
getting adversities by taking a food as a whole or its constituents
individually in same quantity as these are present in that food?

Eg; Na,K,Mg,Ca..if taken together may balance each other, but if taken
individually may cause adversities related to same.

    2. As Iron, can you tell some other minerals, trace elements etc. Which
can't be excreted easily by our regular physiological means?

    Best wishes.

  2. tc, thanks.

I think you meant that culture diets are better with some envirinmental
adjustments. I think it is because we are genetically
adapted/habituated to these to which our body system recognize &
    process better.

What about taking individual constituents of these diets in same
quantity as these are present in these foods? Can taking these
    individually cause adverse/toxic effects?

  3. I prefer to put the horse before the horse....and see where it
takes us and then maybe plot the trail. :-)

Consider pre extensive travel and trade cultures. They were
trapped in their climate, physical environment, local foods,
technology and degree(s) of tradition complexity (maybe throw
    religion in here).

So lets say they were operating to a certain norm. Somebody
(maybe an explorer) introduces a new food, a spice or even some
new technology. It would take some time for things to diffuse
through the society. Granted, some of the diffusion might be
related to the "Jones" complex but for most part the cost (not
necessarily money) would restrict it's dispersal, unless of
course there was some positive benefit. Maybe a food is better
for the effort to produce it. Maybe a spice not only adds flavor
but has a slight improvement in constitution.

Also consider immigrants. They tend to use traditional foods as
much as they can. Why? Because they have a level of control
based on use (trial and error). As soon as they sway, control is
lost and if they do not regain control, well you know the rest
of the story. Never mind that many foods not only are constantly
changed but little weight is given to nutrition. Marketing and
sales are the #1 factor. Backyard garden anyone?

I don't think anyone has the magic bullet to all our nutritional
problems. A relevant(whatever makes one functional) varied diet
of unprocessed foods is probably the way to go while reducing
excessive toxic substances. Folks keep telling me, "listen to
your body". Who has the time ? :-0

  4. Yes, you are very right. Any substance to which we are not yet
habituated & adapted/evolved, can produce differenciating
    effects---healing/beneficial or adverse/harmful. I therefore suspect
all effects from all healing substances to which we are not yet
habituated or adapted are somewhat "shocking effects--beneficial or
harmful" due to sudden exposure of those unrecognizable substance to
our body alike foreign substances in variable quantities.
