Consumer complaint - yellow dish detergent.
I do not have the best eyesight. More than once I have grabbbed the
detergent instead of vegetablle oil and put it on my food. Then I
smell it and toss the whole meal. Why do they havr to make it yellow?
I'd like to write a complaint but where to?
I finally threw out the yellow stuff and no longer buy any of the
yellow - they lose my sale. i still want to complain.

or red dish detergent or keep your detergent and cooking oil bottles
away from each other. -

seriously, why buy yellow dishsoap in the first place, and
second, why leave it where it might get mistaken for oil?
i buy different colors of dishsoap, including yellow on rare
occaision, but the working bottle is on the back of the sink
(in an unlabelled bottle, no less), so even if i happened to
have purchased yellow it wouldn't be confused with anything
else in the kitchen... including the oils. vegetable oil stays
in a cupboard (oils store best in the dark) & olive oil is
decanted from it's big bottle in the basement (cool & dark) to
a smaller (unlabelled) bottle on the counter by the stove.
it's not rocket science to tell things apart. perhaps you need
to clean off your counters so you can tell where things are.

a sink-mounted dish soap dispenser. If you don't have an extra hole,
have a combination faucet-sprayer installed then use the hole where the
sprayer was for the soap dispenser.I wouldn't bother to complain unless you wanted the entire consumer

I too have added oil to dishes only to discover in horror it was dish
detergent. To stop this reoccuring, I leave the detergent in it's
original bottle which looks nothing like the clear plastic squeeze bottle
I keep my cooking oil in.--

logically it has to occur at least as often as her using detergent

Someone who cannot be serious, because what they are saying
is so unbelievable. -
On of my neighbor's was learning how to cook (his wife had recently
passed away). He was cooking frozen french fries and he put dish washing
liquid in the pan instead of cooking oil.Even worse, I was on a cruise, and a man showed up at the dinner table
with only one eyebrow. He used, what he thought was a tube of
sunscreen, but it was his wife's depilatory. When his skin started to
burn, he washed it off, but the eyebrows went with it.Becca

Ooowee... he must have really been retarded... not to have thought to
shave off the other eyebrow, then no one would have noticed. And
women add falsies with eyebrow pencil all the timeSheldon

No, foaming hash browns may have some comic appeal but are not to be
considered edible at all.--

I knew a woman who didn't like the way a bottle of dishwashing liquid looked
sitting by her kitchen sink. So she'd transfer it to a different bottle
that held more appeal for her. My question was, why don't you just put it
under the cabinet under the sink? She looked at me like I was crazy. Maybe
I *am* crazy, but not so crazy that I'll transfer dish soap from one bottle
to another! LOLJill

I shop at Costco and bought a Gimongus bottle...too ackward for day by
day use....I transfered a smaller amount to a empty heinz Ketchup
transparent squeeze bottle, which by happenstance was beside a similar
squeeze bottle of canola cooking oil.--
