CONTROLTECH carbon handlebar?

Not quite sure what you mean by "perform", as its a handlebar. The thing with the carbon bars with the finger grooves and flat sections is that for it to be more comfortable for you, the bar has to fit your hands well. If the angles of the bar top and drops don't suit you, there isn't much you can do. In the end buying a bar is similar to a saddle--its really trial and error to find the "perfectly comfortable handlebar".

I use a Kestrel carbon bar and it seems quieter than the aluminum I used to use. I wear gloves and my hands seem a little less tingly over bumpy roads, etc... Shapes good too.

Thanks for the reply guys. I am contemplating of getting one of the CONTROLTECH carbon handle bars. I would like to know if somebody out there have used this particular brand. I have some info that 90% of the carbon handlebars on the market are made in Taiwan. This was relayed to me by my cousin who works in Taiwan. He said the average price for a generic carbon handlebar was $40 to$50.:eek: I think the same principle was applied with electronic stuff like for example a DVD player. It is being made in the same factory in china but before they ship it out they just put brand names on it like SONY, PIONEER or PANASONIC.😉

I've also heard that Taiwan has jumped into the carbon market big time and is leading in the production processes. Actually making really good stuff. Outsourcing in action, I guess.

Never heard of Controltech, but they look ok... Calfee integrated bar and stemm runs @ 430.00 around here, so 51.00 for bars does't seem so bad. My round Kestrel bars were around 120.00...
