  1. Hello Group,
I just came across this website that is for us, "the cooking fanatics".
Take a look at it at www.cookingfanatics.com. They have some
interesting articles and a shopping mall.

You "just came across this website"?

Like maybe you stumbled across this cool link
and wanted to share it with the newsgroup,
like passing along a good tip from a friend to a friend?

Or is this SPAM for a commercial web site, being posted
by the creator of this web site to drum up business for his
get-rich-quick scheme? Who is behind this website?

Hey! THAT'S YOU! You created it!
You were trying to be deceptive when you
said you "just came across this website".

With all the ripoffs going on over the Internet
these days, anyone would have to be nuts to do business
with someone who practices deception, like Wes.

Bam! Busted... and with all the cooking websites out there, Wes is WAY
    behind.
I love to cook but what could I possibly offer by creating a website
about cooking that hasn't been offered two-fold already.

A quick visit to Wes's site has a dead-center of the page pop-up
request for email address's to keep one abreast of "latest updates".
I'll bet... keep my spam/junk folder updated with solicitations. Kev

Well Duh!!!! He just "came across this web site" should have been clue
    enough.
For those too naive to catch on to that one, he wasn't bright enough to come
up with a novel email address instead of using a name @ the same web site he
    is spamming for.

It may not be helpful for newbies here, but another HUGE clue is when
someone we've (TINC) never heard of before apparently just stumbles into rfc
and says Hey! Look what I found! And it has a *shopping mall*!

I have to confess that I get a small kick out of these spamming twits because of
the way they introduce the site as something they just came across and then use
an email address from the same place they just found. I figure that all
spammers should be boycotted just for spamming, but even more so for being so
    stupid about it.

I was disappointed when I opened the post. Was really hoping for tips
on how to get those fanatics tender and juicy.

I always make it a point to NEVER buy a product that has been SPAMMED,
no matter if I've seen the product in real life, no matter how good
    the product might be.

That's how I feel, though sometimes the transgressions
are minor and the product is great. The Ronco rotisserie
comes to mind. Twice I received e-mail spam for that
product. I really hope Ron Popiel did not authorize
those spams. It's a great product, and I really hesistate
to condemn it because of those spam e-mails.

Didn't some spammer just recently get jail time for it? I can't recall
the specifics and Creeping Senility hasn't made me proud, but anyone
    else recall the particulars?

Believe a nice young man from Burnsville MN just got fined or something
for using an AOL account for spamming millions. I could be wrong - I'll
see your Creeping Senility and raise you with accute Can't Remember Sh**
