  1. (1)It says so on a website I once visited and my tinnitus occurred 'more or less' at the time when I
involved it in my bp regime.
(2)I am using it in conjunction with Zestrial, which is a very effective combination. Is there a
different diurectic so that I could replace it to find out if this is the cause of my tinnitus.

    Thank You,

It is not a side effect commonly associated with hydrochlorothiazide.

There are may different kinds of diuretics in the same class and in other classes. An example of a
different kind of diuretic would be furosemide.

Thank you. I am trying to do away with diurectic all together. I used to lean on only one tablet of
10 mg Zestril before and I think by losing some weight and by having better sleep, I could do it now
as I did before. As a matter of fact, I am using only 1/2 of that tablet for today....and the
buzzing seems less. Could have been psychological...

I have switched to FUROSEMIDE this morning. The funny thing is: the buss seems to have gone back to
my left ear, which was how it started in the first place, instead of being at the top of my head,
which was the subsequent development. I do recognize that I am under the control of ATIVAN, which is
a powerful anti-anxiety drug that requires doctors' prescription.

    Question:
(1)If this new diurectic proves to be unrelated to my tinnitus and cause other complication such as
constipation, could I switch back to hydrochlorothiazide? So far this is the first day and it
    seems OK for the moment.
(2)Would the use of calcium channel blockers be less likely to cause tinnitus than ACE inhibitors?
I used Zestril many years ago with NO side effect of tinnitus but that was when I was much
    younger then?

Or when worse comes to be the worset, could I supplement that 10 mg of Zestril with a 2.5 mg calcium

Bob, be a bit careful with the 'spiritual' elements. We as human beings and what we know are very
finite. Dr Chung is not glorifying Saddam or Hilter and is helping many of us here who could not
afford to pay for expensive and oftentimes useless medical advices. That, I think, is a thought

I'd like to think Dr. Chung is saying that He/She might grant you the serenity to accept that which
you aren't likely to change. The simple truth, at this point in time, is that there is no cure for
the most common form of T. If you have ruled out T caused by a tumor pressing on your auditory nerve
and T caused by a vascular condition, then acceptance is your best avenue to habituation. In fact,
playing around with a myriad of different concoctions while monitoring your T is likely to
    exacerbate your condition.

The other way to say this is: Jesus or whoever Dr. Chung believes in, will send someone to help heal
you. Frankly, my blood pressure would not have been normalized without Dr. Chung's bringing up the
concept of 'spike-ups' caused by the use of short-lived beta-blocker. None of the 7 doctors I have
visited, including two from HK Adventist Hospital, have no clue of this. As a result, I suffered for
several months immensely from their prescription.

In my past life, I have experienced some supernatural events to the point that at this moment,
almost anything is possible to me. After all, how much we as human entities could comprehend what
actually goes on in this universe. We are very finite beings.

So continue to be skeptical of whatever as you please. But don;t forget that our knowledge of
anything in this universe is so very very limited.

Diurectics THICKENS my blood, which is already thick and filled with junks. In doing so, it hinders

Does this make any medical sense to you? For your information, my doctor here in China has strongly
