I already have 2 bikes and I mainly use a mountain bike - 95% on road, but like to occasionally use the bridleways. Never heard of a recumbent Mountain Bike is the such a thing?
People /have/ built off-road-stylee recumbents but I can't imagine they'd be a lot of fun when the going gets twisty, narrow or slippery. Shifting ones body weight around is a fairly fundamental wossname in off-road cycling, and that ain't easy when riding inna-lying-down-stylee. One could add a third wheel, but then loss of traction and ground clearance rears its ugly head. I speak whereof I know, having interpreted a route sheet correction on last year's 3 Down 300 a little too literally and ridden the Trice through a swamp :-(
