Use proper cutters, designed for cutting brake cable. You will more than
likely have to file the end down some, once you cut them. -

Nah, geared. I just remember how much more of a pain it was to install the
brake cables, as opposed to the shifter cables. Even with the Park
cable/housing cutters. -
