Sounds like you are a medium (30-32).
That's a popular size, so you might run into "out-of-stock" issues, and have to wait until they re-order.

Double up, I wear two pair of shorts, double the padding, most comfortable for me. 😄

Cheers guys an galsSounds like 28-30 would be it. But, sizing does vary among brands. In addition to your waist measurement, the shorts have to fit your hips and legs. If you have relatively large and muscular thighs, then the larger size may be more comfortable. Suggest you contact the company if possible for their advice.

You won't need to double up on wearing shorts to obtain thicker padding if you buy MTB shorts instead. MTB shorts come with a thicker chamois pad then road shorts, and MTB shorts come with pockets, look nicer without showing the "bulge", and they are made of rip stop fabric thus they last longer.

Some good suggestions above but I'd probably go with the smaller size - you're on the top end of it but unless you're already at low body fat, you'll probably slim down a bit if you are dedicated. -
Why don't you just go to a store and try some on? And then buy them.

I attach a bobby pin to my front fork then put a card in the clip of the pin so that it comes in contact with the spokes, thus as the wheel moves the card snaps across each spoke. Thus the faster I ride the faster the snapping sound is, and by this way I can judge how fast I'm going thus no need for a computer.
