Well, at least a road race isn't on par to a road run. You
would agree that 26.2 miles on foot is much harder than
    26.2 miles on a bike.

I've run three marathons -- my best was only 3 hrs. 29 mins.
My skinny weight then was 179 lbs.

Running a marathon is more difficult than any road race in
cycling that lasts under three hours. Running is much more
difficult than cycling. (except cycling requires more skill
& balance and money and mechanical knowledge)

    A 60 minute criterium is a bit easier than a 5K running
race, where my best is barely 19 minutes. A criterium is WAY
easier than a 10K running race (my best is only 41 minutes).
