I had my second near-miss on teh recumbent on Friday (well, OK, the
first near-miss was actually a hit).
I'm riding along a residential road. My lane is empty (apart from
me), but teh oncoming lane is solid stationary queue (not sure why -
it's not normally jammed up). Buzzing up teh side of teh queue (well
into my lane) come two moped scooter thingys. They're weaving around
each other, apparently racing. The one in the lead sees me coming, so
slows and pulls over nearish to teh queue of traffic. His mate swung
wide round him and proceeded head-on towards me while looking over his
shoulder, apparently wondering why teh other chap had pulled over.
How does genetic material like that survive this long?
As he went past me, he was still looking over his shoulder. I think
there were nearly two centimetres between us as he passed.
There's no point to this story.
regards, Ian SMith
