That means finding a time when I'm out in daylight, with a cycling companion (I don't think DW's
likely to cycle again before the baby's born) and when I'm not in a hurry to get to work.

It *will* happen, it just might not be before Christmas.

I was wondering what effect frame colour had on visibility, for something like a tadpole recumbent
trike. Does having a nice bright colour help things by giving a car driver a chance to resolve what
(s)he's about to squish before squishing it, or is just the large amount of reflective bits and
lights and yellow stealth clothing sufficient?

I've seen some people have bright yellow trikes, and they show up well in the photos of them. I was
looking at bright red - suitably eye catching - as a possibility, or add some retroflective bits to
a dark frame.

Also, there's the (don't tell the wife) possibility of one day owning two trikes, a second sporty
one being bright red, and the more general purpose long distance tourer being a darker colour. Never
know, if I get that decent job I'm looking at, I could afford it. Only problem is that all the
away-from-home work would mean either taking it with me somehow, or having to enjoy it at weekends
only. I wonder how feasible the combination of trike, train and hotel is.
