Nothing fancy but different for me - pre-seasoned porchetta roasted
(this is a first!)on a rack over water, baked potatoes, steamed baby
asparagus spears. I'm debating whether to make coleslaw or a tossed
salad. From the smells of it, pickled beets will be in order as well. A
couple of the kids are coming so dessert would be nice. I'm thinking a
quick apple [censored] made with homecanned apple pie filling and puff pastry
topped with a dab or two of fresh whipped cream.

as I don't make large batches of them when I do make them. Usually 2-3 only
2-3 pints.I'm not cooking tonight. Rather, I recently found a restaurant that serves
*fresh* pickerel. Imagine that in AZ! I have great expectations for a good

We had basically what I planned: crackers and dip and stuff for
snacks, spaghetti dinner with roasted asparagus for dinner. Very
good. Made my mom's sauce, which takes a day and a half to make and
is worth every second. Mmmm.Ended up buying a cake, the chocolatiest ever. So good, and I'm not a
cake person.serene
