What's catellini? A pasta I guess but I have never heard of it.

Capellini - that will teach me to test the wine out while posting LOL

  6. We're having pasta too - bowties with an oven-roasted vegetable mixture
(grape tomatoes, kalamata olives, anchovies, garlic, onion, crimini
mushrooms, parsley, red pepper, capers) with parmesan; halves of
steamed artichokes with aioli; cold white beans with tuna; and fresh
fruit. Bottle of Ruffino Chianti alongside.

Good food for a cold & ugly night!

I was reading an older book of mine -- no color pictures - The Fine Art of
Italian Cooking : The Classic Cookbookby Giuliano Bugialli - one of the
better authors of Italian Cooking IMO, and in the background of one of his
pics demonstrating something or other was this bottle of Ruffino Chianti --
just thought I'd mention it to you -- you're in good company.

I had some of TJ's kalamata cured olives tonight, they weren't quite right
for me. Did have a glass of TJ's
    Il Valore Primitivo $4.49 (2004 - Puglia - Zinfandel) - worth the money -- I
    could drink it.

But my favorite at Tj's is Nugola Super Tuscan $5.99

    Dee Dee

  8. pork chops and gravy
    roasted carrots
grits cakes -- yesterday morning's leftover grits chilled overnight,
sprinkled with Tabasco, and browned on both sides in olive oil

    Tara
