On my MTB the read derailor won't shift properly. It's a Shimano LX RD.
The part called a "Cable Adjusting Bolt", part #Y-5TJ-98030, snapped
off. Do I have to get a new RD? Is this part sold separately? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Kenny

If the derailleur body is in good shape you should be able to purchase it; if you can locate the appropriate one.
The following one may be correct but not sure; if you cannot locate it locally.
Any reputable LBS will have a new bolt in stock. The question will be:
can you remove the broken off end?
Thanks for the find. Too bad Loose Screws has a $10.00 minimum order
requirement. I couldn't find anything else I needed. I think I'll just
get a Deore RD and forget about it.

Yes, it is sold separately, and is available from any LBS that buys from
Quality Bicycle Products.

My LBS didn't have one in stock when I needed one a couple weeks ago so they dug
through the dead Der box and snagged one. Charged a whole dollar.
