  1. Does *nobody* care that Dave Fawthrop's been MIA since June of this
    year?

Does anyone have *any* information on his health or whereabouts?

    Personally, I miss him.

As he appears to have posted all of eight articles in
    alt.usage.english, from September, 2005, to January, 2006, I doubt
that many of us here have noticed.

I thought that it was 'anybody', rather than 'nobody' that should be caring.

Say the poster who is cross-posting into all of these 8 groups,
    "uk.food+drink.indian,uk.local.yorkshire,uk.rec.caravanning,uk.d-i-y,uk.food+drink.misc,uk.tech.digital-tv,uk.rec.walking,alt.usage.english".

Me too. I guess it is apparent that while =SOMEBODY= may care, it isn't
    us. 8>.

Actually given the list of groups it was initially crossposted to, it's
also quite possible that *NOBODY* gives a damn.

I'd like an answer on this too. Does anyone know for sure what's happened to
    him?

Note that I've deleted all those crossposts to the newsgroups full of
[censored] whose only contribution is peurile smartass remarks.

It seems that nobody knows (or cares) about what's happened to Dave F.
It's been such a long time now I'm concerned for his welfare.

The crossposts were to groups that Dave was known to frequent. I only
included them in the hope someone knew something.

If you find anything out, could you please post it here?

There were some posts about him some time ago, also cross posted to loads of
groups, and the upshot was that he'd died.

That's as maybe but if he is really dead then he apparently didn't die
in Bradford unless Dave Fawthrop was an alias. I e-mailed the Bradford
    Registrar to check.

It definitely isn't an alias. He's mentioned here:

    276562>

BTW. From what I can work out, he's 70 this year.

I think his address is in Halifax. Would that come under the Bradford
    Registrar?

From that I expect that the folk of the Bradford Curry Project would
know if he is still with us seeing as he is listed as a trustee of the
charity on the Charity Commission web site.

His company, Computer Hyphenation ltd, has recently been dissolved not
    that necessarily means anything.

His website is defunct and with it the link to the Bradford Curry Project.

How did you manage that? I would have put his age at at least 80 but
perhaps he is/was old before his time. I certainly don't want to be as
decrepit in 5 years time as he was a couple of years ago.

No but I am sure he has in the past claimed to live in Bradford. The
address on the website was Halifax but the contact telephone number in
    the article cited Bradford.

However I think you are right. He did live in Halifax although he is not
    on the 2007 electoral roll.
