I've been impressed by how good the simple tweaking tools in Picasa
are. It's also good at photo file organising. And it's free! :-)

And I'm also impressed by the simple tweaking tools in Photoshop
Album/Elements. It seems that these simple tweaking tools have improved
immensely in recent years, negating the need for complex processing tools
for anyone but professionals and those that really need advanced processing
techniques.

I've done a lot of manipulation on some photos and I'm not afraid to admit
it. But this wasn't one of them.

I did manage to encounter some lovely late sunshine combined with navy
blue storm skies the other day. Pity I didn't have some really nice
subject matter.

I did manage to encounter some lovely late sunshine combined with navy
blue storm skies the other day. Pity I didn't have some really nice
subject matter.

Last Thursday nr Bwlch Main on our way down the South ridge after
going up the Watkin. No photshop- that's how it was. First time in
living memory coming home sunburnt from Snowdon.

Gorgeous light conditions? More like the calm before the storm! Trust me, it
didn't stay like that for long! 95% of my photos that day were filled with
dreary dark foregrounds! On the whole it was a bad day for photos. I was
just lucky with the first few.

That's the nature of luck. You can improve it by going out a lot.

Quite right, we did walk around Llyn Idwal but it wasn't a photographic
thing for me.

My recent experience of lovely navy blue sky combined with sunshine was
at the western Fans about a month ago.
