IIRC the E2E pack is only available by post but costs
nothing to members - I have it somewhere and again IIRC the
routes are not brilliant - best route I found was in the
book published by Epic in New Zealand - Google will find
it.

We are planning an E2E for May 2005, a leisurely 20 days
doing B&B or pubs - we're working on a route to try and
blend the best of the published routes into one that is
pleasant and doesn't have too many silly hills!

There is also a book published by Cicerone that isn't bad -
and there's an E2E route at the back of the Lonely Planet
Cycling Britain book.

I am looking at doing one next June so will be interested in
your route. Thinking of doing one of those organised ones
where there is a driver to ferry your stuff.

I thumbed through the Lonely Planet book in Waterstones and
was really dissappointed to see they'd printed at least one
of the maps wrong. The one in the Yorkshire Dales was a
mirror image of what it should be though the annotations
were right.

My wife bought me the Epic Guide, it is unlikely I'll follow
their route, perhaps sections though.
