Easiest Lip-read words

F@#$ YOU

Said slowly, enunciated carefully, approx quarter to half a second
between words. If possible - point finger at driver on pronunciation of
second word.

Can add a wink, BUT ONLY if little or no opportunity for said driver to
stop, retrieve metal pipe from trailer, and mash your face into your
spokes...

(c) pr!~k!
(d) d!@#head!

Would a combination just be too complicated or would it guarantee that he understood at least one?

ah yes - i've been wondering this myself! you've only got a second or so to make your point and it has to be damn clear!!

I generally find a simple "f#!k off" tends to be as clear as anything... or otherwise just blow them a kiss. just as infuriating, especially if you're dealing with a homophobic ute-driving hoon...

better yet, turn around and blow them a kiss while you're still waiting for the gap in the traffic. that way he's just delaying himself...

I get the best reaction (ie. it really p!sses them off :p ) if I blow them a kiss.

Best used when an assured get-away is available though... which is just about always in peak hour traffic.

otherwise, most people can lip-read F 🙂

Alison. Nail on head, and all that...

the kiss works cos its what they aint expecting and throws em enuff (hard to believe) to think or be confused.

My 'Your-it' tiggy has worked 3 times bow and got smiles each time which has gotta be a good thang! Windin em up just means they're gonna give the next cyclist a hard time, or to put it in perspective, if the prior cyclist did this to someone he's gonna pull up behind/beside you wound up tighter than a badly adjusted Aheadset. wot goes around comes around, n'all that

I find a smile and a thankyou wave works every time to defuse a situation... you know the ones... they are waiting impatiently and considering cutting in front of you ... or heaven forbid, you need to cross a lane and might oh, slow them for a second or two... make eye contact and take them by surprise with a big smile and an anticipatory thankyou as if they are the most cycle-loving person on earth and they just happily wave ya through!

It is the ones that won't make eye-contact that I give a wide berth. They are scary!

"Thankyou" is easily lip-read too. 😄

I was probably just a little grumpy this morning. My usual reaction at that intersection if tooted is to turn around, smile and wave like I have just realized it is my best friend in the car behind. I think I would have had to explain tiggy to the neanderthal this morning, so the immediate effect would have been lost!

the trick is to shout "You're IT" as you ride off.
leaves em in a state of bemusemen and merriment all at the same time.
makes you feel like you 'got em' without hurtin/abusing/dissin anyone and its just good kids fun 😄

altho being a neanderthal, he woulda been more into 'Brandy'.
Then again, me growing up playing baseball... so was I!!!

When catching up to driver who has done me wrong l have "shot them " with my "hand gun" to let them know of my feelings.

Yeah, works for me! Either that or try adopting a Zen-calm while monitoring the situation. If I incur the wrath of a particularly sexist idiot/s, one partakes in some rather naughty tongues gestures. Oh my, how that bewilders the poor dears.

Lip reading? Just utter the word 'cafe' next time. If you don't believe me, go stand in front of a mirror and say it. You'll be amazed how close it appears you're mouthing a well known phrase that means 'go away promptly'.

I am hearing impaired and lip read quite well. I can often make out entire sentences coming from drivers (of course, usually in 4WD or Commodore or Falcon) and respond to them with "You're the [censored] and you can go and [censored] yourself!".

Being deaf has benefits, that's for sure...
