Pets waste natural resources and precious food while children
in Africa starve. It takes 7 pounds of grain, 40 gallons of
water, and two gallons of gasoline to deliver a pound of Alpo
to Fido. Can you say global warming? Not only that, but pets
produce CO2 just by breathing, and indirectly produce it via
visits to the vet. Toss in all the pet accessories and you
have even more wasted natural resources, plus they put fecal
coliform bacteria in the watershed.
Hello? What more do you need to eat your pet? Global warming,
clean, available water, and starving children aren't enough?
For every pound of Fido you eat, that's one less pound of cow
and that much less gasoline turning into CO2. And pets tend
to be a lot leaner than cows.
So don't be selfish, do the right thing: Eat your pets. Asians
have been doing it for eons -- do your part.
