You have reminded me of the sequel to Silence of the Lambs. My then-gf
rented it witout forewarning me. I was entirely grossed out by the brain
scene and will enver ever watch that movie again.

That is a relief. While I am not a vegetarian and thus ought not feel bad
over eating animals, this was too much for me.

My Chinese friends have seen it in Singapore and Hong Kong, but the
brains were removed from the monkey first.

I wouldn't doubt it. They gut animals alive so why not living monkies
having their brains et out of them. 'I vant to eat your brains'.
