    David,

You could be right on the Phen-Phen. I don't know for sure, of
    course.

Nor did you even attempt to find out. You just decided you knew the
truth and were going to tell the rest of us How It Is.

But I do remember calling a social setting set up for people to get
together with the same goal of losing weight, and all I could think
was some of the members would be ill.

That's true in virtually all social settings, thus making your
    observation uninteresting.

The fact that they all got valve problems could make you right, but I
have noticed I get ill in different parts of the body, depending on
who I am getting ill from.

It attacks a weak part of the body, which could mean activating
asthma in some, Fibromyalgia in some, fissures, eye problems,
ANYTHING that the stimulant can attack.

You seem to have some very strange ideas about stimulants. I look
forward to your special on the Fox network, "When Stimulants Attack."

  2. I don't see the big deal, ephedra can still be dispensed legally by Chinese
    Herbalists.

I have used Ephedra products for over 10 years and the only thing I
have gotten is great results. Todays decision has left
me very disappointed with our government. How can a country where
cigarettes kill 440,000 (source american Lung association)
and Alcohol abuse accounts for approximately 98,000 deaths annually
ban ephedra. I have read all of the reports they made available and
there is no definitive link in them to the dangers they are saying
exist. Everything is stated as Most likely or probably, or
    contributing factor to etc. etc

If you are as upset about this as I am below are the email addresses
Mark McClellan(Fda Commissioner) and Tommy Thompson.(Secretary Health
and Human Services) I am not certain that we will change their minds
but at least let your voice be heard. Last I checked we are still a
    democracy.

However, talk to the people whose kids and loved ones have died as a
    result of its use.

Which is an argument to emotion, which carries no rational weight
whatsoever. Talk to the people whose loved ones died of alcohol

    overdoses.

    Quoted message said:

Shall we repeal the repeal of alcohol prohibition? The emotions of those
people are irrelevant, we're talking about a law that will effect everyone
in the US and restrict their freedoms. Because some people feel bad or
aggreived is not enough reason for such a restriction. Facts matter, not
    their feelings.

The fact is, DSHEA was pushed through by Hatch who had a whopping conflict
of interest, and, is a pay off to the supplement industry in his state. the
fact is, that there are many death due tounregulated supplements, either
directly, or by abaopndonment of real treatment.

Simply put, if they want to sell it like a pharmaceutical, they have to do
what the pharmaceutical companies do. If they do not, then it is off the
    market.

For more money, though, I'll bet. When Actifed was first outlawed
during the 1970's, first the liquid and the pil lform, it was due to
the ephedra. Then only pharmacist's coudl sell it, and the price
    trebled.

Now it's lower again, but if you have to go thru a person, you'll
prolly need documentation and telling them "I wanna get real big" is
going to be like asking for an Rx for perabolan or something similar.
    No chance.

Not mentio nthe extra price since it's more of a "controlled
substance", meaning, the sellers can charge a bigger premium for being
able to limit your availability of it.

  5. You got it right, David. When stimulants attack. Problem is not everyone
knows they are being attacked. Just go to one doctor after another without
    real results for a while.
My observations could be uninteresting, illogical, strange, anything you can
think of, but I am sure they hit home with some people, and it can only be to
their advantage, I prefer that to living behind a curtain.
Yeah, I got a thing about stimulants. and for good reason. Not for nothing do
I have to waste my time with something I don't ardently know and believe.

    Gail

  6. Incidentally, David, can you get me on the Fox network.
The doctors don't believe it, but they sometimes do ask questions about it.
One doctor (psychiatrist I was going to for a schizophrenic girl living with
me) said a fellow came to him because he had abdominal pains everytime he
thought of a certain friend. That is typical what stimulants can do. I
couldn't react at that moment, but after leaving, I realized the fellow was
suffering from the friend's stimulant. I was going to tell the doctor this on
the next visit, but the doctor died before the visit. (That makes me sad).

ignoring your use of "controlled substance" which has very specific legal
meaning, and which you are clouding....

for the knowledgeable consumer, the EFFECT of this legislation is nil...

one will still be able to buy EPHEDRINE (hcl or sulfate or whatnot) in
    primatene, bronkaid, etc.
and make one's own EC or ECA stack.

    legally, easily, and cheaply.

which is what many ALREADY do, since it is better than the ephedra diet aids
    sold in nutritional outlets.

    want to do that?
