Escape Tents

There are a few more tents worth considering. The Wild
Country Ilanos is v good, so is the Vaude Taurus. Coleman
Cobra II is also a good tent and rather cheaper. These tents
are available in various shops such as Cotswolds, Blacks,
Field and Trek etc but they are much cheaper on-line. Do a
search for cheap tents on Google. Look for something no
heavier than 2.8kgs. Metal poles are lighter and more
hardwearing than glass fibre. Check the hydrostatic head, it
needs to be at least 1500mm for waterproofness.

I have been looking online but I wanted to touch and feel
some, even packed away ones. I am now also considering the
Vango TBS Micro200. I'll look at your suggestions.

I've used the Vango TBS Micro100. It's small, but did me
well for a week long backpacking trip. I think the 200 is
sturdier (cross wise pole rather than long wise), but
there's no room to fall out if you intend to share...

Taking into consideration sleeping space, porch space, build
type and price I have decided to go for the Wild Country
Hoy. The Llanos was my second choice and the Micro 200 came
third. Thanks for all the advice.

I've used the Vango TBS Micro100. It's small, but did me
well for a week long backpacking trip. I think the 200 is
sturdier (cross wise pole rather than long wise), but
there's no room to fall out if you intend to share...
