Ever Got A Ticket On A Bike ?

I got pulled over on my 1960's trike drunk as all hell- but the cop decided not to give me what I guess would be called a BUI

I haven't gotten one, but when I was a cop I busted a cyclist for drunk riding. 😄

I've been pulled over many times on my bike - sometimes justified, sometimes not. I was given a ticket several years ago for not coming to a complete 3 second stop at an intersection where I turned right from one bike lane into another bike lane - never crossed traffic, and I DID stop momentarily, just not for 3 seconds. This was in the middle of a college campus too - right before I got pulled over another cyclist totally blew through the intersection right in front of the cop, and he did nothing. The motorcycle cop was litterally screaming at me, and I thought he was going to pop! He must have had a bad day. He demanded to see my license, which I didn't have on me. That made him furious for some reason. He gave me an $80 ticket.

I wanted to give a cop a ticket yesterday - He changed lanes abruptly, crossing the bike lane directly in front of me (3 feet or so) without signalling. I shouted at him to try using a turn signal and he just vacantly ignored me. Hipocrites, some of them - I got pulled over at the very same intersection for not using a turn signal several years before.

when i was in high school one of my friends got puled over/arrested while riding a bike, it was around midnight and he was riding close to the side of the road but with no hands, the cop pulled him over and said he was swerving, asked if he was drunk (he wasnt yet) then searched his back pack, he had booze and [censored] so they arrested him.. oh and it was my bike he was borrowing.. that was 10 years ago, we laugh about it now but his parents were really [censored], we all thought it was funny..

The Italian Mario Cipollini, World Champ, has been fined 63 Euros by the Police for being on a four lane road on his bike at a speed of 70 kilometres per hour.

The Tuscan leader of Domina Vacanze was with his team mate Mario Scirea behind a car driven by his mechanic, Roberto Lecioni, on the motorway of Florence-Pisa-Livorne, when they went through a Police speed trap. Both riders were fined 63 Euros each, the mechanic had done nothing wrong.

dude LSD is perfectly flat there's no human being that can reach 60 mph there, I've OTOH been cruising to 'bout 30 mph on the stretches before Navy Pier so maybe I should slow down a bit thx for the warning.

One funny note: last week one afternoon this dumb woman was DRIVING her car slowly up the bike path for a little while before several bike police catched up by Belmont Ave
yup she was blond hehe (I whished so bad to have my digital camara w me to share with you all) 😄
