fasciitis. It was recommened by and alt and worked! :-)
The foot surgeon lost on that one.

I use Glucosamine/Chondroitin for my mild arthritis rather
than aspirin. It does seem to help - is there a cure for
osteoarthritis in the alt community?

I've used Iodine and oil mixes for all sorts of problems -
from cuts and scratches to ear infections, athletes feet,
ringworm and nail fungus.

I already described several other things I tried. Some
worked. Some didn't.

My real, live eeeevil organised doctor suggested, wait for
it, stretching exercises for this very complaint.

Most orthopedic surgeons and podiatrists recommend
stretching exercises where appropriate, or, better yet,
refer their patients to physical therapists who are the
experts in such things. Also, since you recovered, I doubt
your foot surgeon felt any sense of having lost. Doctors
want their patients to do well, and the best sign of a good
surgeon is the reluctance to do surgery.

YES! That was 1/3 Iodine to 2/3 rds oil but it's not
critical. (The expensive salve from the Pharmacy was
useless.) I put it on with a clean cottonball twice a day.

I worked for me and others at the clinic. It's cheap as hell
too - less than $4.00 for the oil and Iodine these days. It
also kills "hot spots" and ear infections in dogs.

The foot Dr. (podiatrist/surgeon) I was sent to never
mentioned exercises. He went right for surgery. He planned
to do one foot at a time. I would have been incapacitated
for months. The stretch exercises worked in days!
:-) Not all Drs are honest and not all keep up with what's
:happening out
there - and some are knife happy. I never said *ALL* of
them were bad.

I never went back to him since I haven't had any more
problems with fasciitis. I still can't figure out how this
happened and it happened overnight. I woke up one morning
and could barely walk. I'm not obese, nor did I do anything
heavy the days before such as push a stalled car.....
