Hey, half the time I don't even know what I am talking about. I will
get this quoting, header, replies and links down soon. (I hope.) I
took my bike out for a ride and it was COLD OUT THERE. When I was
little, I hopped on my bike and rode. NOW THERE IS SO MUCH TO THINK
ABOUT!!!! My brain is on overload. I really did not dress right
today. I had to get back home...I was really cold. Its 45 and cloudy.
I don't know why I was so cold. I was on the bike paths in the park
freezing.

I understand. Here in Texas the summers are hot as h*^% but we expect that
and dress minimally. Wintertime is unpredictable and requires considerable
thought and planning instead of just jumping on a bike and taking off. Well,
with lots of water, that is....

I got suspicious when Maggie talked of training on the Atlantic City
Boardwalk.

I not only can't post....but I don't see half the replies to read them.
I am going back through them and finding my name everywhere. I am
laughing at all the things that were said about me. I was not going to
train on the boardwalk....I was just going to see how far I could ride.
I ended up winning money at the slots instead. Boy some of you people
really think I am a mental case. ;-) YOU COULD BE RIGHT!!!

Funny how people like you criticize and underestimate Bush, but he pulled off
two terms.
I'm nit his biggest fan, but he's there for 4 more years.

Could not be said better. That is the beauty of newsgroups. We put up with

He does come off looking bad on camera, and the television station
ran a radio address speech he gave along with a picture of him
looking like a cross-eyed hick, at best. If he rode a mountain
bike the way I do, we would have Cheney for president, so I
guess we will have to live with it/him. Never underestimate
a spoiled rich kid with connections in the CIA. I suspect a lot
of decisions 'he' makes are those of his advisors and not his own.
I don't want to be hearing Iraq on the nightly news for the next
4 years. We need to clean up our own back yard.
Speaking of him riding a mountain bike, does he ever work up a
sweat or are these just photo ops for him?

Window shopping are we? We get film shoots all the time in Huntington
Beach, no

Trail and do a metric C on that. Not me. Havn't done the SGRT in years,

such bad shape. I may take a mtb up it next spring some time just to see
the
changes. If you are in the area and decide to go, they use to have these
stupid
fence things with a two inch pipe about six inches high off of the
pavement
across the trail. What is that for?

I think if I ever ride a bike down there again it will be along the
beaches from OC to North of LA, August at noon, and not at full speed.
There is just too much 'Eye candy' to pass up.
Wake up Bill, this is a bike thread.
On the bright side you don't need a helmet to crash into the sand.

Yeah Pat but how well does NASCAR appeal in Europe? That was what I read was
the reason they picked a sport so popular in Europe.

What SW are you using? Most times it is set automatically when configured.

45F is not really bad. Of course I'm talking from where it has been in the 70s
the past three days.;-) What went wrong? Was it windy? How many layers were you
wearing? What ring were you in? Was your cadence fast or slow? I don't mean
exact like some technicals here but were you spinning fast on a middle ring or
slow trying to push the large ring and gear combination. Hills? How long were
you out?
It takes awhile for your body to warm up depending on how much blood you are
moving around and the large muscles in your legs are working. Incidently the
fact that your legs are moving and your upper body is not as much means you
have to protect the upper body differently from the cold. Your legs will get
cold though especially if there is wind chill to consider so you might think
about a pair of pants with wind panels on the front. I know REI has them as
well as the LBS, Nashbar, Performance etc. Thankfully it rarely gets that cold
here. I have taped a folded kitchen trash bag to the front of my legs on real
cold mornings I have two layers on. The bag goes between the wicking layer and
the outer layer. Incidently you can do this on your chest too if you are caught
way out and a cold front with wind comes on. Makes you sweat like a pig though.
Most riders will tell you this is not really necessary as you will quickly warm
up. Many use leg warmers here so as to be able to pull them off as soon as they
warm up. New Jersey will be different of course rely on your LBS or a local
bike club to help you decide. You remember those bike jerseys we told you
about? The ones with the pockets in the back? If you don't want to bother with
pocket warmers. Take two bike bottles, fill with hot tea or coco and put a full
wool sock on it and stick one in each side pocket. Shirt will sag and look
silly but your back will stay warm for awhile. Augh! life is good. One last
thing, ride in the sun.<G>

Why should the USPS care about appeal in Europe? They're trying to blunt
criticism here at home. Do Europeans buy US stamps???? They tried appealing
to Europeans with bicycling (I still don't know why) and now they're trying
to appeal to Americans. shrug.

I see the BMW Z4 3.0i model is equipped with 225/45R17 91W
