  1. I only got to listen to the coverage via eurosport but when I saw the photos on cyclingnews I had to laugh, maybe it's the photo comments.

I can't see how more people or riders aren't knocked over, they ride so close to the crowd.

That guy's got to be hurting tonight...

The motorcycle fell over on top of him. OLN showed a replay. He got up and walked away but it had to have hurt.

Some really crazy fans out there. Some are real morons, I'd say. He looked for that. I saw that incident today while watching OLN's coverage. Those photos show a better perspective though.

Lots of crazy fans. I laughed when I saw a fan dressed as a doctor with a syringe. 😄

That was probably Flyer or WhiteBoyTrash. No wait, I think they might be the same person. 😉

    Yeah, talk about tasteless.

As for the fan, man, everytime I watch those mountain finishes I feel for the riders having to deal with those crazy drunks running along side of them. At one point I saw like three people in a row push Ullrich.

  8. OUCH. Thats gotta hurt.

  9. So how much beer do you think was involved in that? Dumb@$$....

Not cycling related, but a few years ago I went to a Nascar race in Bristol, TN. There is a steep hill that goes for a few hundred meters that bottomed out and crossed over a little creek with a little bridge. It must have been 10%-12%. I was walking in and heard a couple of guys that were camping there say that about 2:30 AM the night before the race, two guys in full fire suits and helmets came flying down the hill in a red radio flyer (wagon). I asked them if they made it across the bridge. THey said they didn't think so. I'm sure there was quite a bit of Tennessee wiskey involved in that one. I really would have like to seen that....

The penis guys were tasteless, but the others with flags, running along , and the other acts of "fan craziness' is what makes the TDF Fantastic. Here in the states with our mainstream sports we never get close to the action .... I loved the story about that Nascar thing where those guys did a suicidal "radio flyer" run ..... Thanks Lonnie for giving me best idea in a long time to impress my friends .
Maybe Nascasr should allow fans to run alongside of the cars on the track during the race. Of course, half of the southern United States would be wiped out. Wow, I get to use the word penis and slam Nascar in one post. My mother would be proud !!!!!

  11. PWNED!!!!!!!!!!!

He might have a Basque flag, but he's probably American.

Yeah, riiight. Just like the guy next to him wearing Disco jersey or any other guy with american flag or Texas horns hat must obviously be a basque spaniard.

  13. What a dipstick.
