Hi, I delurking. I'm back in the saddle after a few years.
I came back as I have an ankle injury from a motorcycle crash (enduro)
and I can't run at the moment.
Anyway, I dragged my 12 year old Marin Bear Valley out of the shed and went
for a ride,
had a nasty moment on the road and decided that since I now live in Essex
and not Swansea
I need some road tyres. I saw on here that a few of you were praising
Schwalbe. so I bought some city jets.
All I can say is "wow!" the ride is silent, and smooth. They enhance my
riding.
Best of all they've made me realise what a fantastic bike my Marin is. So
smooth and not a single rattle in 12 years!
It's seen some use, tours of Ireland and every weekend in the Gower when I
lived there.
Are the new ones as good or have they slipped? They seem quite expensive
now. I paid about £500 for mine when it was new.
Thanks, you've made an old dog happy.
