I am a student in a college class. I have been assigned by my
professor to ask all of you in this group where your favorite place in
the world is to hike. Thanks for all of your help!

others) the spelling, grammar and politeness are all correct :o).Just for that: anywhere in the Lake District, starting about 8.30 before
everyone else starts.--

have a real question, which isn't appreciated. And of course the
answer to your question is Wasdale. But do tell your professor
he's a very naughty man and he must write out 100 times "I must
not tell my students to make test posts to live groups" !

exactly the same message to about 10 usenet groups now and it's taken
you half an hour to do it? -

--Only in summer! Actually not far off if favourite=most walked as I always
visit Cat Bells and go across by launch. (Aged Parent's ashes scattered
there - yes we went well away from where people sit, on a steep bit where
you couldn't sit and scattered them in the longish grass, unlike some *rse
who had clearly scattered some right on the top *on the path* for me to
scrunch over and another who insisted on erecting a memorial - both right
out of order IMHO).--

Scotland is a wonderful, beautiful country. So if you're Scottish

I don't have a particular location in mind, but the sort of place I want
to visit has rugged hills to walk up and gaze at in awesome wonder,
lakes to look across and bathe in and natural peaceful deciduous
woodland with red squirrels and other wildlife in to stroll through.
So, where am I? Lake District I guess, even though I've only been there
a couple of times. </dream>

"share" is not an unusual concept to a Yorkshireman. For example, last
week I quite happily shared my friend's fiver with him.

You've failed. Capital letter for 'I' *and* displaying knowledge of an
actual place (or so I assume). Sorry, you'll have to try harder :-)
